Dreifaltigkeitskapelle Stanglegg

"It is true, there is an altar at the Stangleggerhof". With these words, Andrea Aschberger concluded the inauguration of the chapel at Fischl in Wiesing. After much deliberation and a serious illness, the Aschberger family decided to build a chapel. After receiving the building permit in November 2006, construction of the chapel in Stangl began in February 2007. Master builder Josef Kurz and the head of the Salzburg diocesan building authority, Mag. Peter Schuh, designed a real jewel of a chapel. With the help of many hard-working friends and helpers, the Aschberger family completed the Stangleggerhof chapel in November 2007. The family would especially like to thank their friend and bricklayer Martin Hanser, as well as their friend Simon Huber "Mentl Simal", who devoted all his free time to help build the chapel but who has sadly passed away since. 

On 2 December 2007, the chapel was consecrated to the Holy Trinity by Father Marek Ciesielski in the presence of family and friends. The beautiful altarpiece depicting the Baptism of Jesus is a wonderful eye-catcher as you enter the chapel. A beautiful wooden cross on the right and St Barbara on a pedestal on the left complete the picture. Lovingly crafted wooden benches invite you to linger. Above the entrance, St. Florian is depicted in a small stained glass window. Depending on the daylight, the other four windows, with their extraordinary colours, create a beautiful atmosphere in the chapel. The inscription reads: "Joy to those who linger. Peace to those who stay. Blessed are those who move on!" The Aschberger family invites everyone to gather new strength in their chapel.
