The popularity of travelling uphill on touring skis, also known as skinning, is booming, and for good reasons. Although heading uphill with skis on your feet is quite strenuous, you will be rewarded with fantastic deep snow descents. If you want to try ski touring for the first time or sharpen your existing techniques, join one of our Achensee ski tour camps. From 20 to 21 January, 27 to 28 January and 01 to 02 February 2024, our certified mountain and ski guides teach you the fundamentals of ski touring. Learn how to use avalanche safety gear and how to assess the terrain and your skills. Along with the theory sessions, you will gain hands-on experience in unspoilt nature where you can test the latest equipment provided by specialist sports outfitters ORTOVOX, Völkl and Ski Trab.
