Tirol CleanUP Days
In all of Tirol, the mountains are our living environment and recreational area. The campaign "Tirol CleanUP Days" gives volunteers the opportunity to take action in their communities. You will set out alone or in self-organized groups and pick up garbage that has been carelessly discarded in nature. Equipped with “CleanUP Kits” (recycled and reusable garbage bags & stainless steel litter pickers), you will collect litter and anything else that does not belong in nature. Get your CleanUP Kit from the nearest pickup point featured in the CleanUP MAP. The map also includes all garbage collection sites.
Anyone who loves the outdoors has certainly encountered litter in the mountains: plastic bags, cigarette butts, bottles, etc. Let’s team up and preserve our beautiful natural surroundings for the people living today and for future generations. Together with the non-profit association PATRON e.V., the municipalities of the Achensee region, Austria Tourism, and other Tirolean regions we want to pay respect to Tirol’s natural surroundings - and at long last, raise awareness of the importance of protecting and conserving nature.

TEAM KARWENDEL WAS PART OF THE CAMPAIGN!
In 2023, the volunteers of team Karwendel have joined the Tirol CleanUP Days at Lake Achensee for the first time ever and contributed to helping our environment. The team has roamed through the Karwendel valleys and collected litter left lying in nature.
